Summer Musical 2011: The Music Man!

The Syracuse City Arts Council is pleased to announce work is underway on the 2011 summer musical. “The Music Man” will perform at the Syracuse High Auditorium on August 5, 6, and 8.  Currently, the Arts Council is looking for volunteers with a variety of skills and experience to fill production, publicity, fundraising, and administrative roles. Please see the list below for a full list of positions. To join the team, submit a letter of interest to the Arts Council via email to syracuseperformingarts@gmail.com no later than February 19, 2011.

Auditions will be held May 7 with callbacks on May 11 from 6 to 10. The first cast meeting for all cast members will be May 21. Regular rehearsals will begin June 7. There are many opportunities for families and individuals with or without theatrical experience. Children under twelve are welcome in the cast with a parent or guardian in attendance at all times. It’s fun, rewarding, and a great way to give back to our community.
